Freedom and taking responsibility is what I like in my role as front end developer. My focus is on the web app, but I also have lots of ideas about my line of work to take the next step in my own professional development as well as moving the circle forward. Because I am experienced in backend and front end I understand how these processes influence each other. I have been an entrepreneur and with that mindset I would like to make a difference within the team.
I spend a lot of time with my two labrador retrievers. My girlfriend and I take them to training, that keeps them in motion. We do agility exercises with them where they zigzag between posts and climb on things. But we also took a walking course so that one of our dogs, who is a bit afraid of other dogs, can have more relaxed walks. Next to the dogs we have two cats, so it’s safe to say that I am an animal lover.
Every wednesday we play Gloomhaven with our neighbours. It’s quite a complicated game to start with, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really fun. I enjoy playing board games and not just the complicated ones. When friends come over, even a simple card game can make a nice evening. For me it’s more about having fun than the type of game.
Other hobbies? I like to program for fun, but what programmer doesn't? I guess it’s in our DNA.
